Some weddings stop you in your tracks. Holly and Ian’s weekend summer celebration at Cornwell Manor in the Cotswolds was one of them. Spectacular, joyful, and completely breathtaking from start to finish. Furthermore, it unfolded across one of the most extraordinary private estates in England. I had the most wonderful time, and I am still smiling about it.
The Cornwell Estate spans 2000 acres of untouched English countryside between Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this beautiful family home is available as an exclusive-use wedding venue for weekend celebrations. Holly and Ian fell in love with the gardens, the views, and the traditional British elegance. Above all, it was the perfect setting for a summer Cotswolds wedding, and I think you will agree, it was absolutely gorgeous.
Getting Ready at Estelle Manor and Cornwell Manor
Holly and Ian began their morning at the nearby Estelle Manor before heading to Cornwell Manor for the day. Holly got ready in the beautiful bridal suite in the main house, a wonderfully spacious room with a grand four-poster bed that made for the most stunning getting-ready photographs. Surrounded by her friends and daughter, the morning was warm, relaxed, and full of laughter.
Holly looked absolutely stunning in her Eva Lendel wedding dress. Elegant, romantic, and completely timeless. It suited her and the venue perfectly.
An Intimate Outdoor Ceremony in the Gardens
If you are planning a Cornwell Manor wedding, have your ceremony in the gardens. It is simply the most beautiful setting. Holly and Ian’s intimate ceremony space looked extraordinary. A circular seating surrounded by an abundance of summer flowers and lush green lawns. The sunshine was warm, the gardens were in full bloom, and the whole scene felt like something from a dream.
Cornwell Manor in summer is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever photographed a wedding. Every corner glows with warmth and natural beauty. As a Cotswolds wedding photographer, days like this are why I love my job.

Al Fresco Drinks in the Grounds
Following the ceremony, we headed to the tree-lined walkway in front of Cornwell Manor for confetti. For fans of the film The Holiday, this is the very path where Cameron Diaz and Jude Law walked hand in hand. It is every bit as magical in real life as it looks on screen.
Afterwards, guests enjoyed a beautiful outdoor drinks reception in the gardens. The weather was warm and golden. The grounds looked picture perfect. Meanwhile, I slipped away with Holly and Ian for a few portraits inside the manor and in the beautiful little church on site. The church photographs were particularly important to Holly, and we found the most wonderful pocket of natural light for a quiet, intimate moment together. These are some of my absolute favourite images of the day.

The Wedding Breakfast in the Ballroom
Everybody then gathered in the ballroom for the wedding breakfast. The floral design by Clementine Moon was simply breathtaking — one of the most stunning room transformations I have ever seen at a wedding. I brought Holly and Ian in for a first look at the room before their guests were seated, and their reaction said everything. They were completely blown away.
Guests enjoyed a five-course wedding breakfast catered by the wonderful team at Ross & Ross. It was exceptional from start to finish. The speeches followed, and they were heartfelt, funny and full of love. As a result, the room was filled with laughter and happy tears in equal measure.

An Epic Marquee Party
Following the wedding breakfast, everyone moved to the marquee for the evening party. Holly and Ian took to the dance floor for their first dance, which was pure Imagination from Wonka, which was absolutely beautiful. Furthermore, they followed it immediately with Warren G’s Regulate, which tells you everything you need to know about this couple. Eclectic, brilliant and completely full of personality.
The party that followed was one of the best I have ever been part of. The dance floor was packed all night, and the energy was electric. As the evening drew to a close, Holly and Ian exited Cornwell Manor through a spectacular sparkler line before heading back to Estelle Manor. The perfect ending to the most perfect day.
