I’m Suzy,
wedding photographer,
baking enthusiast,
woodland wanderer
and all round
hopeless romantic.
It’s lovely to virtually meet you.
how I became a wedding photographer
I’ve always loved stories, but it wasn’t until my daughter Sophia was born that I started using a camera to tell them. My passion for photography developed when she came into our lives and I wanted to ensure every milestone and happy memory was captured. Documenting my little girl as she grows up (far too fast) has served as the most amazing training. When she was tiny, we’d spend our days trawling the woods and parks looking for the best spot for a photo. I learned to use natural light as an artistic superpower, how to find natural and beautiful compositions against almost any backdrop, and how to make even the most impatient of models feel comfortable in front of the camera!
To me, photography is all about freezing little moments in time and helping you to recreate your happiest memories (whether the extraordinary or the seemingly everyday) each time you look at them. As I began shooting weddings and honing my craft as a photographer, the idea of creating images that will become your family’s treasures in years to come became increasingly important.
I’m head over heels in love with photography
It’s an immense privilege to be able to turn memories into something you can see and touch. It humbles me that I get to be part of one of the happiest days of your lives and it is something I never take for granted. I am hugely passionate about what I do and quite frankly, I can’t get enough of weddings. (Yes, I will most likely well up a bit during your big day, and no, I’m not sorry!)
I’ve spent years developing my style and refining my photography skills, and I’m now lucky enough to shoot weddings all over the UK and abroad. I honestly believe I have the best job in the world!
get to
know me better…
Choosing your wedding photographer isn’t just about finding a style that makes your heart beat faster. It’s really important that you click as people, too.
I love having a giggle with my couples, and knowing that we’ve got the ingredients of a friendship as well as a professional relationship will make your time in front of the camera a total breeze. So, here are a few facts about me that don’t involve my camera and kitbag.
.01
I’m half Greek,
half Irish.
My parents came to the UK when they were in their teens and met at a dance. I feel like my hopeless romantic tendencies must be genetic!
.02
I was born and raised in North London.
I moved to the Buckinghamshire countryside about ten years ago and am a total rural convert. I love the fresh air, the wide open spaces and the possibility for little adventures.
.03
Chocolate and Chinese food are two of my biggest pleasures.
(I was about to write ‘guilty pleasures’ there, but have decided to get rid of the guilt about it, because life’s too short, and crispy chilli beef is too delicious!).
.04
Me and coffee are very good friends
I can’t start the day without a cup of strong coffee. Since becoming a mum, it’s my brain fuel!
.05
Soggy Bottom & wonky showstoppers
My husband once entered me into The Great British Bake Off. I didn’t make it as far as the show, and to be honest I’m hugely relieved. My showstoppers would have been far too wonky!
.06
I want to see the world
I adore traveling and visiting new places. The world is an amazing place and I want to see it all!
