A couple of months ago I met up with Gabi and Sam for their Oxford engagement photoshoot. Gabi and Sam were due to get married in June this year. This has now been pushed back to next year for obvious reasons. Whenever their wedding day may be I cannot wait. They are such an adorable couple and it was an absolute pleasure spending a few hours walking around Oxford with them. We started the photoshoot in a coffee shop, I do love a good coffee. We had a bit of a catch-up and then went for a wander around. Gabi resembles a beautiful 1940’s bombshell and always looks immaculate. I simply cannot wait to see the little vintage touches on their wedding day
I absolutely adore Oxford and love to shoot there as much as I can. It is the perfect location for an engagement shoot with so many beautiful backdrops. We headed straight to the bodleian library, one of my favourite spots in Oxford, especially for a photoshoot. We got some gorgeous shots in their epic doorway and some in front of the library itself. Sam knew the area well as he studied in one of the colleges previously. This also meant we could get into the college grounds. The gardens were beautiful and immaculately kept and very tranquil. I could have walked around there all day. After this the heavens opened but thankfully we managed to get some gorgeous shots of the happy couple beforehand
I had a great time doing their Oxford engagement photoshoot. I cannot wait to share some images of their big day next year

Engagement Photo FAQs
What do I wear for an engagement photoshoot?
Great Question! What to wear is something most of my couples ask me. I recommend choosing seasonally appropriate clothing in solid colours and avoiding busy patterns. Choose something that you’re comfortable in, and that is practical for the location. Heels on an autumn shoot in a park, for example, may not be very practical. What is the point of engagement photos?
An engagement photo shoot is a great way of getting to know your photographer, and for them to get to know you both a bit better before the wedding day. It will help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day, and is an opportunity for you to share preferences with your wedding photographer
When you should do engagement photos?
The engagement photoshoot can take place at any time! we can arrange it to take place at the time of your hair and make-up trial so that you can see how your make-up will look in your photos. You can also choose a different time of year to your wedding, or maybe at the same time of year so that you’ll see the range of seasonal colours that will be there on your wedding day
